Uses for a Canopy – Connecting Buildings

As sites grow, facilities such as car parks and additional buildings can become separated from the main building or site, making the area feel a little disjointed. A walkway canopy can lead the way from the car park or new buildings to the main building and keep staff and visitors dry when walking from one place to another. Covered walkways can reduce the risk of staff or visitors slipping over in the rain as the area underneath will be dryer, reducing the need for any mad dashes in the rain.

Depending on the level of cover required, you can create a simple covered walkway to provide shade and shelter or you can create an enclosed walkway that provides additional shelter from the weather, blocking wind and rain that may attempt to enter the canopy from the sides.

Connecting buildings with a walkway canopy can significantly change the appearance and enable site visitors to find their way easier as they can follow the route laid out by the canopy rather that wandering around your site and turning up late to your scheduled meetings!
