Outdoor Dining Canopies for Schools

In November 2023, we supplied and installed an 18 m x 6 m Welford Dome Freestanding Canopy with side infills at Swanwick Hall School in Alfreton, Derbyshire.

Helsby High School in Frodsham, Cheshire were looking to add a new free-standing canopy to their schools grounds to protect their students from the elements.

We installed the third Tarnhow Dome Free Standing Canopy over the top of some benches creating an outdoor dining area. The Tarnhow creates an eye catching focal point to outdoor areas. To view the first and second installations click here.

Carshalton High School for Girls contacted us in July 2013 requiring some structures to be added to their school grounds, they was partially interested in the Tarnhow Timber Canopies.

B Nokes Contracts were working on a project at Eastbrook Primary School in Dagenham, Essex. They contact us enquiring about a canopy that would create shelter to the schools outside dining/seating area.

RSA Academy required a large structure to create cover for their outside dining area where they already had picnic tables installed. They were interested in the features of the Double Grange Free Standing Canopy but with a slightly different appearance.

St Peter's Academy in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire were looking to add cover to create an outside seating and dining area to their school playground.

Barking Abbey School is a very large school with two campuses in East London were looking to add large canopies to cover outside dining areas in both of their campuses.

In January 2023, the Site Operations Manager at Workington Academy sent an enquiry via email to us as they required a shelter at the rear of their school that was around 30m x 5m.

Thomas Walling Primary Academy sought a canopy solution to offer shade and shelter within their early years/nursery yard...

The Blackpool Centre for Independent Living required a sheltered seating area within the grounds of their centre in Blackpool which provides support to people with disabilities.

Bishop Milner Catholic College is a large school in Dudley, West Midlands that caters for children from the ages of 11-18 years.

Jo Richardson Community School is a large school in east London. The School has around 1400 pupils between 11 – 19 years of age.

St Stephen’s CE Primary School required a sheltered area in their school grounds. The school used a contractor who contacted Able Canopies on their behalf. The school had expressed that they would like a shade sail and they would like it to look like flying birds.

Merrill College required a large sheltered outdoor dining area for their students and employed Vinci Facilities to source a school canopy supplier to supply and install a canopy that would create the large covered outdoor dining area required.
