The Downs CE Primary School required a walkway for their school. They were not sure of the size, yet they knew they wanted it to cover a large area.
 
Having completed a full site survey, Able Canopies produced a quotation for the Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy. The Downs CE Primary School was extremely happy with the quotation provided and was very impressed with the super imposed images included within it. As The Downs CE School wanted the canopy to wrap around their school, Able Canopies included “hips” and “valleys” within the design to ensure the canopy looked neat and tidy and matched the outline of the building. The canopy was a total length of around 75m.

 

 

 
The Staff and at The Downs were so impressed with the service and installation at Able Canopies that they decided to have another two structures installed at their school. They contacted Able Canopies one year after the first canopy installation, asking for a cycle shelter and a scooter rack shelter to be installed. Able Canopies produced two quotes, one for a cycle shelter and the other for a scooter shelter; both were The Coniston Wall Mounted Cycle Shelter. Yet again, The Downs were very impressed with the quotation that they decided to go ahead with the quote and placed an order. The Scooter Shelter was installed over an existing scooter rack at the school and the Cycle Shelter was installed solely by Able Canopies. Both Shelters were installed in a total of two days, causing minimal disruption to the staff and pupils.

Product Facts - The Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy
  • Polycarbonate panels which are light in weight and up to 200 times stronger than glass and 10 times stronger than uPVC panels
  • Heavy duty structural Aluminium & uPVC glazing system for ultimate strength
  • Roof strong enough to be walked upon as a means of escape and maintenance (with use of boards)
  • 40mm 'X' structure polycarbonate panel offer the best insulation properties available (1.4w/mk) (much better than sealed, triple glazed units)
  • Panels tested to most European standards and to BS476 Part 7 and BS476 Part 6 with a Class 1 Fire Rating. The panels are classed as self-extinguishing and do not emit toxic gasses, unlike uPVC panels
