Able Canopies Commercial Retractable Awnings are constructed from an extremely rigid roller tube along with waterproof fabric which makes them extremely suited to the rigours of any commercial setting including schools, nurseries and care homes. 

The 85mm roller tube can span up to 7 metres in width and can project up to 4m from the wall. The awning has a folding arm with different upper and lower arm lengths giving the awning great stability and ensuring that the fabric is taut when the awning is fully extended.

Features include:

• a front profile with integrated gutter and hidden water drainage spouts
• a cover profile and cassette which are powder coated the same colours providing a homogeneous appearance even when the awning is extended
• a frame which is available in four standard RAL colours; traffic white (RAL 9016), metallic aluminium (RAL 9006), grey brown (RAL 8019) and light ivory (RAL 1015)
• folding arms which when closed are protected from the weather by the cassette

Choice of fabric

The awning fabric is produced using state-of-the-art weaving looms which guarantees perfection. The fabric is waterproof and provides high UV protection. Because of the increased strength of UV radiation, it is important to know just how many UVA and UVB rays will pass through the fabric when purchasing your commercial awning. The darker fabrics shown below offer 100% protection and the lighter fabrics stop 97% of harmful rays. All fabrics achieve the highest possible sun protection factor for textiles UPF 50+ (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) which enables children to sit out or play in the sun safely under the fabric fifty times longer that you would otherwise be able to without becoming sun burnt. This makes it perfect for outdoor play areas for children, alfresco dining for customers, waiting areas for staff or shaded areas for anyone wanting shade and shelter from the elements. Upgrades

Upgrades include Sun and Wind Sensors, Vertical Blinds, Main Switch or Remote Electronic Operation, Infrared Heating, Sunlight and Wind Load Sensors. 

Sun and Wind Sensor

The intelligent automatic weather control. Your Able Canopies Commercial Awning will react to every change in the weather. The automatic sensors ensure that your awning extends when the sun comes out and retracts if the wind speed exceeds a safe level. A practical aid to help prevent rooms/classrooms heating up too much.

Vertical Blinds

An awning within an awning: keep blinding sun and disturbances outside the classroom at bay. An awning cover can be dropped vertically from the front profile - to a maximum drop of 2.1m. This not only gives you privacy and protection from the heat and cold but also creates an additional shaded outdoor living space.

Main Switch or Remote Electronic Operation

With a comfortable electric motor your commercial awning will react at the press of a button. You can choose additionally a hand-held remote control which is elegant, ergonomically shaped and practical to use.

Infrared Heating Package

When it turns cooler outside the infrared heating package offers warmth without a heating up phase and also provides a pleasing light effect. The housing of the heating package is aluminium powder coated to match the colour of your awning cassette and can be left outside all year round. This package is environmentally friendly with no CO2 emissions.

Sunlight Sensors

Sunlight Sensors give extension and retraction commands. Your commercial awning can be fitted with a radio-controlled motor which is completely wireless powered by built-in solar cells. If your awning also needs to be protected from increasing wind speeds, the Wind Load Sensors (shown below) will also have to be installed in conjunction with the sunlight sensors.
