Youth Shelters

The Blackbeck Youth Shelter has been designed using strong steel components. As a free-standing unit, the youth shelter is extremely robust and benefits from features including secure fixings, a non-toxic finish and user friendly seating. The galvanised framework and roof are available in a range of standard colours which include blue, green, red, yellow and white which can be mixed or matched as required. Other colours are available on request.

The Blackbeck Youth Shelter is available in four standard widths; 3m x 2m, 4m x 2m, 5m x 2m and 6m x 2m and is always installed by one of our trained teams of fitters and come with a full 10 year guarantee.

Having a youth shelter can provide significant benefits to an area reducing boredom of young people and therefore lowering crime levels. It gives them somewhere to go, somewhere to meet which is non-confrontational and a place to sit and talk.

If the shelter is for a public area such as a park or sports ground, we recommend getting the young people in your local area involved in the design of the shelter. Research has proved that by getting them involved in the process they are more likely to use it and most importantly respect it.

Design Features

Our standard youth shelters are designed with safety in mind. We have made them fireproof, free of handles on the roof’s underside and both difficult to damage or climb. We also design the bench seats so they are solid and wide enough to sit on but not to lie on.

Cost-Effective Designs

At Able Canopies we have come up with some standard cost-effective designs which are available in five standard colours of blue, green, red, yellow and white.  You can mix and match the colours of the framework and the roof for an exciting overall effect and 3m x 2m, 4m x 2m, 5m x 2m and 6m x 2m are the four standard sizes.  We also have some excellent upgrades which include a tag board and a basketball hoop.  As a company we offer a FREE design service where we can help create a shelter which perfectly meets the needs of the end user and yourself, the buyer.
