Many healthcare settings such as doctor and dentist practices have fairly small waiting rooms which can only hold a handful of patients at a time given the 2-metre rule. This would have been fine during the summer months as some patients could wait outside however, as we are now in the colder, rainier months, more patients will be looking to book appointments; and they won’t be so keen on sitting outside whilst bearing the wintery elements.
It’s important that patients are not put off attending important appointments for health reasons and it’s also important that they feel safe whilst under your care. That’s why we’re here, to help you achieve just that.
Building an extension is not so much a practical option given the money, commotion and time involved, yet there is another solution that give will cause you to breathe a sigh of relief; a wall mounted canopy such as the Coniston or Abberton can create the ultimate outdoor waiting area that your surgery needs. As a bonus, we are able to install your canopy during the evenings and weekends to avoid disruption to your regular work day and depending on the size, it could be installed within as little as one or two days, so you will barely know we’ve been – except for the new shade and shelter structure we leave behind that your patients will love!
Benefits of a Covered Outdoor Waiting Area: within Healthcare Settings:
- Your patients may feel much safer waiting outside which in turn may encourage them to attend crucial appointments that they may otherwise put off
- You can extend the number of patients you can welcome at any given time
- They keep your patients protected from the rain and a happy patient equals happy staff
- We will cause minimum disruption to your surgery with evening and weekend installations available and speedy installations once on site
- A canopy may reassure patients regarding the spread of COVID-19 as time spent outdoors is considered by some as safer than time indoors with others
- Your staff may feel safer as the waiting room will be much clearer
- Hand sanitation stations can also be located under the canopy along with health and safety signage and instructions
