The Brief
The Wyvern School had two areas within their school grounds that they felt would greatly benefit from shade and shelter and therefore contacted Able Canopies for a quotation.
In order to keep our staff and customers safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, we were offering virtual surveys with a view of booking a full survey if the school were happy with the estimates provided.
The staff at The Wyvern School therefore sent us details of the areas they required canopies along with photos of the areas so we could assess them and provide estimates.”
The Solution
After assessing the two areas, we suggested the Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy and the Codale Junior Free-Standing Tensile Fabric Canopy.
Area A featured a south facing building, and the installation of a wall mounted canopy would not only create shelter outside, it would also provide shade to the building’s windows, keeping the rooms inside cooler on hot sunny days. This is the area that we felt a 36m x 4m Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy would be perfect solution.
The second area that required a canopy was an outside study and social zone for their sixth form students. This required a free-standing canopy because it was set away from the main building, we therefore suggested a 3m x 3m Codale Junior Free-Standing Canopy which features a waterproof tensile fabric roof covering.
The school were happy with both suggestions and estimates were sent over as requested. We then attended site so that we could carry out a full site survey and send a firm quotation and the school proceeded to place an order.
The Installation
The installation went ahead with no issues along the way and took x6 days to install within the school holidays as requested by the school.
While school holiday installations are popular, they do get booked up quickly and we have extensive experience installing our canopies within term time. We are able to fence the area off and work around your scheduled to cause as minimal disruption as possible.
