The Brief

The Architect from Ashley House Plc. contacted us because they were working on a project for two medical clinics in Bromley, Kent and as part of the project they were looking to add a buggy shelter to each of the clinics to provide a safe and sheltered place for parents and carers to leave their prams and buggies whilst visiting the surgeries.

The Solution
The Easydale Buggy Shelter was chosen by Ashely House as the ideal product for both clinics. The Easydale Shelter is a cost-effective shelter that can provide cover to bicycles and buggies and can also be used as a waiting shelter depending on whether you choose to have buggy bars, cycle racks or benches installed.

The Easydale is covered with impact-resistant polycarbonate panels that are perfect for busy areas or areas that may suffer from vandalism. It can also be powder coated to the RAL colour of your choice. The colour chosen for Princes Plain Clinic and Willows Clinic was Gentian Blue (RAL – 5010) to complement the existing outside aesthetics.

The Installation
The contractors laid the concrete bases in advance, so they were set and ready for when we arrived on site. Also, due to other works going on, safety fencing was already on-site and we are able to use this to cordon off the areas we were working on.

We installed the buggy shelter at Princes Plain Clinic on Wednesday 8th May 2013 and then installed the buggy shelter at Willows Clinic on the following day, Thursday 9th May 2013.

Both buggy shelters were installed on schedule and both end users were pleased with the end result as their patients can now leave their prams in a safe, designated area rather than taking up space inside the clinics, causing possible trip hazards.
