Heberdashers Crayford Academy – Coniston Freestanding Canopy

In January 2026, we supplied and installed a 4m x 5.2m Coniston Freestanding Canopy with two side fills at Heberdashers Crayford Academy in Crayford, Kent.

Haberdashers’ Crayford Academy recently carried out improvements to its school facilities in partnership with Kier Construction. As part of the project, the school required a practical canopy solution to provide weather protection at a pupil waiting entrance. The brief called for a freestanding canopy that would not need to be fixed to the relatively new building while still offering reliable year-round shelter for pupils and staff.

Following a consultation, Able Canopies recommended and installed a Coniston Freestanding Canopy with front and side infill panels. This design offers excellent protection from the elements, creating a comfortable and sheltered entrance area during wet or windy weather. The finished installation provides a durable, low-maintenance solution that enhances daily school routines and delivers a functional, professional addition to the academy’s outdoor space.
