West Middlesex University Hospital – Entrance Canopy

Towards the end of 2020, Marcon Construction were working on a project at West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth. The hospital had an urgent requirement for a canopy over their Urgent Care and Emergency Department entrance; they were seeing long queues and patients and visitors were ending up soaked in the pouring rain with nowhere to seek shelter.

The area in question was slightly challenging as it featured a ramp along with a curved path which the canopy would need to follow however, it was clear to us that the Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy was the perfect solution due to its versatility.

In February 2021, we supplied and installed a 11m x 5.5m Coniston Wall Mounted Entrance Canopy on rear posts to transform it into free standing canopy and included polycarbonate side panels to provide additional weather protection from driving wind and rain. We installed the canopy during the night to ensure minimum obstruction was caused to the hospital’s busy emergency entrance.
