Halifax Primary School in Ipswich, were looking to create an outdoor area to the school grounds that can be used throughout the whole year. The project involved us taking down an existing canopy, marking out and kerbing the area for a new soft play surface, and then putting up the new canopy and finally laying the soft play itself. To bring added security, to protect the school’s equipment, automated roller shutters were added. These allow the area to be sealed when not in use and provide additional protection for the soft play area from the worst of the weather. Lighting was also added to ensure the space can be used all year round, if necessary. Able Canopies project managed the whole installation coordinating and managing all additional trades and installation elements. The finished installation provided the school with a new safe and sheltered space for outdoor learning and activities.
