The Marine Upgrade is the perfect upgrade for you if your work setting is on the coast as it adds protection to your umbrella from the salty air.
The salty air that flows along the UK coast causes more damage to umbrellas than any other elements combined. Sea spray clogs the umbrellas driving mechanisms and rusts the nuts and bolts. The Marine Upgrade has been designed to prevent these problems and to produce an umbrella with a long lifespan even when installed by the sea.
The Marine Upgrade features military grade sealant and lubricants that makes the gear-box and spindle pipe air tight, preventing the salt spray from seeping into those critical areas. The eye-screws and hinges are double galvanized, the joints are stainless steel to prevent rusting and the frame is powder coated to prevent rust damage. The circlips and screws are made with a special zinc alloy that is 8 times more salt resistant than zinc coating alone.
The Marine Upgrade is essential for umbrella longevity in coastal areas, and is also ideal or those that would like to extend the lifespan of their umbrella.
The Marine Upgrade is only available with the Richmond and Drayton Umbrellas.
