Sun Shade Sails
Able Canopies Sun Shade Sails are made covered with high quality, commercial grade shade sail fabric which protects those underneath up to 96.5% of the Sun’s harmful UV rays. The knitted tape & monofilament yarn fabric also lets a cool breeze flow through the small gaps within the fabric which is very pleasant during the hot humid summer months. The sails are attached to galvanised steel posts with heavy duty marine grade fixings.
Because our shade sails are commercial structures, your site must have enough space to accommodate the posts that support the sails and the foundations that the posts are fixed into. They are therefore not suitable for domestic properties.
Because they are covered with knitted tape and monofilament yarn, our sun shade sails are not waterproof and are therefore only ideal for creating shade from the sun rather than shelter from the rain. We have a range of waterproof tensile fabric structures and waterproof shade sails which provide protection against all weather conditions.

1. Material
The material that we use is the strongest 340gsm material available on the market. It is the highest grade, UV stable, fire retardant commercial shade cloth. The cloth is sewn using a heavy duty locking stitch and the corners are reinforced for strength and durability, please see detail image 3 further below.
2. Colours
Able Shade Sails are available in a range of bright and contemporary colours.

3. Lock-stitch
Lock-stitched monofilament construction in weft and warp provides superior impact tear strength.
4. UV Protection
Our Shade Sails offer high UV protection and blocks up to 96.5% of UV rays. The fabric is UV stabilised with high density fabric which will not rot or absorb moisture.
