The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust – Bespoke Canopy

In November 2023, we supplied and installed a 4m x 3m Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy at the UHL-ED Transit Hub at Leicester Royal Infirmary in Leicester.

The canopy specification presented to Able Canopies was a wall mounted canopy with a polycarbonate roof and toughened glass or polycarbonate front panels.

The Architect from Ashley House Plc. contacted us because they were working on a project for two medical clinics in Bromley, Kent and as part of the project they were looking to add a buggy shelter to each of the clinics to provide a safe and sheltered place for parents and carers to leave their prams and buggies whilst visiting the surgeries.

In November 2013, we were contacted by Stroods Specialist Contractors who were working on a project at Colchester General Hospital and required a canopy over the entrance of the accident and emergency department.

In April 2012, we supplied and installed a commercial awning within the hospital garden at Croydon University Hospital in Thornton Heath, London to provide shade to their young patients.

Hillingdon Hospital in Uxbridge, London were undergoing a refurbishment and required additional facilities to help keep their patients, staff and visitors dry and sheltered when arriving and leaving the hospital.

Kier Construction and Gilling Dod Architects approached us as they were looking to source a glass-roofed canopy to complete the entrance for the new integrated urgent care unit that they were constructing at Burnley General Hospital in Lancashire.

In July 2021, we supplied and installed a 10.1m x 2.8m Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy with planters at Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust in Hampshire on behalf of Portakabin.
