Fundraising with Food

Fundraising with Food

You can raise much needed funds for your PTA for voluntary group throughout the whole year, but some months provide additional reasons to incorporate food into your plans!

Fundraise with Food this Halloween
As a last minute addition to your Halloween fundraiser, why not add in some “gruesome” games that involve food? Fundraising with food doesn’t always mean eating the food as such… you can use large tubs and fill them with cooked, plain spaghetti and then mix in sealed packets of sweets. Charge pupils a set amount per go and they can dig in deep to grab a surprise pack of sweets! It’s worth using some aprons to save children getting mucky and keeping a bowl of soapy water and some towels/tissues nearby.

Although this can be seen as a waste of food, it can also be good fun and is sure to go down a treat…or should I say trick…

Food Markets
Food markets are very popular, particularly if you ensure you have food stalls that offer food from a wide range of different cultures. They are great throughout the whole year, and are inspirational as it allows locals to try and purchase food that they may not be able to purchase in their local supermarket.

Holding your food market as an authentic street market style adds a special touch to it and will keep visitors coming back for more every year.

Summer BBQ’s and Fun Days
When you speak of the summer what comes to your mind? Apart from hot weather and the beach its BBQ’s of course! So why not utilise this nostalgic subject and hold a summer BBQ and fun day? It is sure to go down a treat and will give the children, pupils and teachers a chance to catch up during the summer holidays.
