My Favourite Berkshire Installation so Far…
It’s been a whilst since I contributed to the MD’s News section of this blog and I thought it was about time I shared another one of my favourite installations with you all, so here it is, my favourite installation in Berkshire…so far.
Meadow Vale Primary School – Bracknell, Berkshire.
The reason I love this installation so much is because it was one of the first Coniston Wall Mounted Canopies that we installed with the new & improved design. The new Coniston includes a fully aluminium structure with integral guttering making the canopy appearance more sleek and tidy. The canopy frame and posts are also more chunky and modern which gives the canopy a high-class, contemporary appearance.
This particular installation at Meadow Vale Primary School in Bracknell is not only my favourite because it was one of our first New Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy’s. I also love it because we installed not one, not two but three canopies there!
Two of the canopies that my team installed at this large primary school in Bracknell was required to fit around the buildings internal and external corners, creating all weather protection for the pupils and staff.
Canopy 1 (above) was a 22.5m x 3m Coniston which was to be used as a walkway for the children and staff outside the school’s classrooms.
Canopy 2 (above) was a 7.8m x 3.6m x 6m x 3.8m Coniston with a valley so that it would fit around the internal corner of the building.
And Canopy 3 (above & below) was a 7.5m x 4.7m x 7.7m Coniston with a hip which enabled the canopy to fit around the external corner of the building. It also had a staggered wall plate which allowed the canopy to fit neatly to the building, following the difference in the shape at the entrance. This canopy was required for the reception pupils to play outside come rain or shine.
