Fundraising Ideas – Start of Term Fundraisers

It’s the first week back to school after the long summer holidays and everyone’s still feeling energetic and fresh from their well-deserved break, making it the perfect time to get stuck in with your fundraising plans.

Planning in advance gives you more time to gather helpers (including new mums and dads) and makes it a lot less stressful, making you feel much more organised. So here’s a couple of ideas to get you started, some of which can start bringing in the cash straight away and some are prefect for early planning.

Leftover Foreign Holiday Money
Raise Funds for your PTA with Left Over Holiday Money - Able Canopies Ltd. The majority of staff and pupils will have gone abroad for the summer holidays and without a doubt will have some foreign cash left over that they will never get round to exchanging to UK pounds. So why not ask them to donate their foreign coins and notes to your PTA group rather than popping them in the draw and forgetting about them.

This can raise lots of pounds and all you have to do is get them exchanged once you have collected all donations.

Personalised Calendars for the New Year
Christmas really will be here before you know it so if you plan on selling personalised items for Christmas presents such as calendars, then now is a great time to start organising to ensure they arrive from the printers in advance to show them off to potential buyers. You could create a different calendar personalised by each class with children drawings or photos or maybe one for the whole school for simplicity.

Parents love anything that their children have created and it’s the perfect keep sake that will keep for years to come.
