In October 2026, we supplied and installed a Kensington Wall Mounted Canopy at Fenwick in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear.
Fenwick’s wanted to create a welcoming shopping environment by adding permanent shelter around its shop frontage. The aim was to provide shoppers with protection from the rain throughout the year, while introducing an entrance canopy that would complement the building’s appearance.
After reviewing the requirements and site constraints, Able Canopies® recommended the Kensington Wall Mounted Entrance Canopy. Its steel framework and stainless steel support rods create a contemporary cantilevered design, providing overhead shelter without front support posts. This makes it particularly suited to busy retail settings, where keeping pedestrian space clear is an important consideration.
The completed installation follows the shop frontage, creating a practical sheltered route for customers approaching and moving around the store. Combining a clean architectural finish with everyday weather protection, the new retail canopy enhances the entrance and helps Fenwicks offer shoppers a more comfortable arrival.
