Maes Ebbw School – Second Coniston Canopy Install

In August 2026, we supplied and installed a 4.75m x 4.6m Coniston Freestanding Canopy at Maes Ebbw School in Newport, South Wales.

Having previously installed a Coniston Freestanding Canopy at Maes Ebbw School in February 2024, we were delighted when the school returned to Able Canopies for an additional canopy. After experiencing the benefits of their existing installation, the school wanted to create another sheltered area within the playground, providing pupils and staff with more opportunities for outdoor learning, play and social activities throughout the year.

To meet the school’s requirements, we supplied and installed a 4.75m x 4.6m Coniston Freestanding Canopy. With its robust aluminium framework and durable polycarbonate roofing, the canopy provides dependable protection from rain and snow alongside high levels of UV protection during sunny weather. The completed installation has created a comfortable, all-weather outdoor space that complements the school’s existing canopy and enables Maes Ebbw School to make even greater use of its playground throughout the seasons.

Bishop Young Church of England Academy - Front Fills Installation

Back in July 2025, Able Canopies supplied and installed a 38.55m x 4m Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy at Bishop Young Church of England Academy in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The canopy created a large, sheltered area outside the school, providing pupils and staff with valuable protection from the weather when using the space and entering or leaving the building. Almost a year later, the academy returned to Able Canopies, looking to enhance their existing canopy with additional weather protection.

Smarden Primary School – Canopy Extension
