Stone Lodge Academy – Coniston Canopies Installation
In August 2026, we supplied and installed a 6m x 6m Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy and a 26.5m x 4m Coniston Freestanding Canopy at Stone Lodge Academy in Ipswich, Suffolk.
Stone Lodge Academy was looking to improve two outdoor areas within its grounds, creating permanent covered spaces that could be used more comfortably by pupils and staff throughout the changing seasons.
The academy required a practical solution that would provide dependable shelter from the weather while increasing opportunities for outdoor learning, play and social activities. Following an assessment of the site and the school’s requirements, Able Canopies recommended our popular Conistons, with two systems installed to provide effective coverage in the required areas.
Constructed from aluminium and covered with 35mm structured polycarbonate roof panels, the Coniston provides protection from rain and snow while blocking in excess of 98% of harmful UV rays, making it particularly well suited to busy education environments. The completed installations have provided Stone Lodge Academy with two versatile, sheltered outdoor areas that can support a variety of activities throughout the school year.
