The Sidings – Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy
In March 2026, we supplied and installed a 6m x 3m Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy at The Sidings in Penrith, Cumbria.
As part of a recent facility upgrade, Able Canopies worked in partnership with Portakabin Ltd to improve weather protection around its modular buildings. The canopy was needed to be installed onto a Portakabin building for a Kier site, as they were doing long-term works on the M6, and that was their base. The aim was to create cover over the ramp access to the main entrance of the site for when visitors are waiting to enter. Following a site survey, our team recommended the installation of a Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy, a versatile solution ideally suited to modular buildings.
Manufactured with a durable aluminium frame and high-quality polycarbonate roof panels, the Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy provides reliable protection from rain while also blocking over 98% of the sun’s harmful UV rays, creating a cooler and more comfortable outdoor environment. Designed to offer year-round weather protection with minimal maintenance, the completed installation has improved accessibility and the day-to-day usability of the site.
