Ysgol Bryn Derw – Coniston Freestanding Canopy

In June 2025, we supplied and installed a 4 m x 5m Coniston Freestanding Canopy at Ysgol Bryn Derw in Newport, South Wales.

Ysgol Bryn Derw, a specialist SEN school in South Wales, collaborated with Newport Norse Ltd to enhance their outdoor environment. Recognising the need for weather protection at one of the key entrances and exits of the school, they sought a practical canopy solution to support students and staff throughout the year.

After evaluating the site and school requirements, we recommended the Coniston Freestanding Canopy. This stylish and robust structure delivers excellent coverage, creating a weather protected area while maximising existing outdoor space.

The canopy was custom-designed to align with the school’s needs, offering a cost-effective, low-maintenance, and functional upgrade to their outdoor facilities. With this installation, Ysgol Bryn Derw now enjoys a sheltered zone.
