Llanwern High School – Coniston Freestanding Canopy

In March 2026, we supplied and installed two 10m x 3.8m Coniston Freestanding Canopies at Llanwern High School in Newport, South Wales.

Llanwern High School sought to enhance the outdoor space around their classrooms, particularly for their SEND provision, by creating a sheltered area suitable for learning and break times in all weather conditions. Following a site assessment, Able Canopies designed a solution that would maximise coverage while complementing the school’s existing layout.

We installed two Coniston Freestanding Canopies side by side, forming a durable, low-maintenance covered area. Built with commercial-grade materials, the canopies provide reliable protection from the elements, transforming the space into a versatile, all-weather environment that supports outdoor learning and pupil wellbeing throughout the year.
