The Coniston is Over Taking the World!

Well okay, maybe not the world but the Coniston has been so popular over the years since Able Canopies begun manufacturing and installing it, that it has overtaken the length of many large monuments and public spaces.

The Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy was in fact named after Coniston Water; the third largest lake in the Lake District and can you believe it, the canopy has overtaken the length of the lake itself almost 3 times over!

Since we started manufacturing the Coniston 15 years ago, we have installed a total length of 22,632 metres, that’s 14.06 miles. The Coniston Water is 5 miles long, and the largest lake in the Lake District is 11.23 miles which means the Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy has also over taken the length the largest lake in the Lake District too.

That’s a LOT of Coniston’s out there, providing weather protection throughout the UK.
As a comparison, the total length of the Coniston’s that we have installed is also 11.56 miles longer than the famous Central Park in America and 8.6 miles taller than Mount Everest; Earths highest mountain.

The world’s tallest building is the Burj Khalifa in Dubai which is 828 metres tall, if you’ve seen this building you will know that is huge. Well guess what, we’ve installed so many Coniston’s that the total length is 21,804 metres higher than the Burj Khalifa itself. That’s over just over 27 Burj Khalifas pilled on top of each other – wow!
