Freethorpe & District Pre School based at Freethorpe School in Norwich required a sheltered outdoor area. They contacted Able Canopies and expressed an interest in Commercial Awnings after looking at our range on our website.
The Pre School which opened in 2009 and cares for up to 24 children per session wanted to create a sheltered outdoor area to allow the children to play outside in bad weather giving them much more freedom and access to the fresh air. They felt an awning would provide the cover they needed so Able Canopies arranged for a site survey to be completed at the pre school to see if their building was suitable to have an awning installed and which type of awning would best suit their needs.
During the survey, the Able Canopies surveyor discussed the options with the chairperson and it was agreed that a commercial awning suited the needs of the Pre School best. Our awnings are available as either a manual or electric retractable awning and comes in choice of over 150 fabric colours including striped and plain fabric. Able Canopies Awnings are ideal for small budgets as they are cost effective, and they can also be retracted when not in use.
The pre school chairperson was happy with the quote and placed an order with Able Canopies for a manual commercial awning in blue and white stripes with a white powder coated frame. They chose Able Canopies as they felt the company provided them with the highest quality product and found the administration and survey team were helpful and friendly.
Once the installation had been completed, the staff at the preschool were very impressed with their new awning and were happy to take part in Able Canopies free press release service as they were very satisfied with the service received. The children now use the awning for various activities including planting, painting outdoors as well as sand and water activities.
“The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the service we received was efficient and professional. Having our awning in place has made a huge difference to our pre-school. The children are able to have much more access to the outdoors which they love. We have been able to do more outdoor activities such as planting seeds and growing vegetables, and offer new fun and stimulating learning opportunities whilst enjoying the benefits of being outside. It is even better than we anticipated and we have received lots of positive feedback from the community. The children love it and we have been able to build it into a learning opportunity for them as they recognise the importance of keeping safe in the sun.” – Laura Saunders, Pre School Manager
