Hebburn Lakes Primary School – Coniston Freestanding Canopy

In May 2026, we supplied and installed a 10m x 4m Coniston Freestanding Canopy at Hebburn Lakes Primary School in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear.

Hebburn Lakes Primary School approached Able Canopies looking to enhance their outdoor facilities with the addition of a sheltered space that could be used throughout the year for both learning and recreational activities. Following a detailed site survey and consultation with the school, our team designed and installed a bespoke Coniston Freestanding Canopy that maximised the available outdoor space while complementing the surrounding environment.

Manufactured using a durable aluminium frame and high-performance polycarbonate roofing, the completed canopy installation has transformed the area into a practical, low-maintenance, all-weather outdoor space suitable for everyday use. The new canopy provides reliable protection from both rain and sunlight, supporting outdoor learning, play and social interaction throughout the seasons while helping the school continue its investment in versatile, future-focused outdoor environments for pupils and staff alike.
