Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth I College required an area within the college’s grounds to provide covered cycle parking for the staff and students.

The college worked with an architect and a contractor who contacted Able Canopies on their behalf.

The architect had browsed though Able Canopies’ products and from this they got an idea of the type of product that interested them. The architect then contacted Able Canopies and requested an estimate for two bespoke cycle compounds.

From the architects requirements, Able Canopies created an appropriate cycle compound design and sent the estimate out as requested. The design incorporated some very distinctive features and benefits including a unique clamping system which dramatically reduces the need to drill holes in the panels, no crawl under perimeter or climb end frames and included lockable gates for ultimate security. The compound was to be covered with 5mm solid clear view polycarbonate sheeting that offers high UV protection and high impact resistance, making it perfect for a school environment.

The estimate was completed and sent to the architect who was impressed with the price and specifications of the cycle compounds and requested a site survey to be completed so that they could have a firm quotation.

The college and the contractor reviewed the quote and were pleased with it which resulted in them placing an order and requesting the installation as soon as possible.

An installation date was booked and the compounds were installed on time and with no issues, leaving Able Canopies with another satisfied customer.
