Able Canopies Celebrates Tracy and Annabel’s MoonWalk Achievement

At Able Canopies, we are proud to celebrate the achievements and community spirit of our team members. This year, our Managing Director, Tracy Meakins, and Marketing Admin Assistant, Annabel, took on an inspiring personal challenge by participating in the 26.2-mile MoonWalk London organised by cancer charity Walk the Walk Worldwide.

Their participation reflected not only dedication and determination, but also a commitment to supporting an important cause that affects countless families across the UK.

About the MoonWalk London Challenge

MoonWalk London is a unique overnight walking event held annually in London, bringing together thousands of participants who power walk marathon and half-marathon distances to raise funds and awareness for breast and other cancers.

Widely recognised for its energetic atmosphere, walkers often take part wearing decorated bras or colourful themed outfits as a symbol of awareness and solidarity. Since its inception, MoonWalk events have raised more than over £146 million to support research, prevention initiatives and care services for people affected by cancer.

On 16th May 2026, Tracy and Annabel joined thousands of other participants and took on the demanding 26.2-mile overnight challenge through the streets of London. While many of us were asleep, they were continuing their journey through the night, driven by determination and a shared purpose.

Walking With Purpose

Training for and completing a full marathon walk requires consistency, resilience and teamwork, qualities that Tracy and Annabel demonstrated throughout their preparation and during the challenge itself.

The event tested participants both physically and mentally. Walking 26.2 miles overnight was no small achievement, and while there were difficult moments along the way, the sense of accomplishment at the finish line made every step worthwhile.

As Tracy and Annabel experienced, the MoonWalk is much more than a physical challenge. It is an emotional event that brings people together. Participants form connections with complete strangers, encouraging one another and sharing personal stories, all united by a common purpose and a cause close to their hearts.

The feeling of crossing the finish line brought a mixture of emotions: pride, satisfaction, fulfilment and relief, creating a moment that neither participant will forget.

Supporting an Important Cause

Thanks to the generosity and support of colleagues, friends, family and the wider community, Tracy and Annabel raised an impressive £1,200.00 between them for the MoonWalk charity initiative.

Every donation, message of support and shared conversation has helped contribute towards vital fundraising efforts that support research and improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
