Swapping Secret Santa for the Children

As we approach the end of the year, it’s often a time for reflection and given that that last couple of years have been really tough for so many around the world, we wanted to do something a little different when it comes to celebrating Christmas in the Able office.

Every year we host secret Santa here at Able Canopies HQ which always puts a smile on our faces (and lots of laugher too). However, we realised that something else would put a bigger smile on our faces, and that would be to donate gifts to Clacton RNLI’s Christmas Appeal.

Every year the crew at Clacton Lifeboat station send out a Christmas appeal for selection boxes and toys so they can gift them to children’s hospitals, respite centres and hospices in the local and surroundings areas. We always come together to donate selection boxes however this year, we wanted to swap our secret Santa gifts for the poorly children in our area.

RNLI are a fantastic charity that saves lives all year round in our small coastal town and the fact that they give up their free time to not only save lies at sea, but also rally around to give gifts to sick children, show they are extremely special people.
