Thousands Being Paid Out By Awards For All

Thousands Being Paid Out By Awards For All

For a while now, many schools have felt the squeeze with the cuts that continue to be made with the Local Education Authority funding, but as many schools may not know, there is still funding out there that is available to schools, you just have to search for it.

The LEA funding may now be very limited for schools but the Awards for All grant scheme is still paying out thousands to schools and local charities to provide them with funding for almost anything for the value of £300 up to £10,000.

The Awards for All scheme is funded by the National Lottery’s Big Lottery Fund and is a simple small grants scheme that aims to improve local communities and the lives of the people most in need covering England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. You may be eligible for a grant if you are a non-profit group, parish or town council, school or health body. Unlike some grants, you do not need to be a registered charity to apply.

As with all grants, conditions do apply and you are not guaranteed to be awarded the grant. However two of the main conditions to note are that in order to be considered for the grant, you must have a bank account that requires authority from at least two account holders. Also, if you are successful in your application, you must use the grants that are awarded to you within one year.

During the funding year of 2012-2013, Awards for All awarded a whopping 8845 grants to non profit group groups, parish & town councils, schools and health bodies throughout the UK and Northern Ireland. Those grants totalled an outstanding £67,737,254.00!! So why not apply today to see if you could be awarded those much needed funds for your next project.
