In April 2025, we supplied and installed a 28.7 m x 13.5 m Tarnhow Dome Freestanding Timber Canopy at West Lancashire Community High School in Skelmersdale, Lancashire.

West Lancashire Community High School approached us with a clear vision to develop a sheltered outdoor area where students can comfortably dine, whatever the British weather has in store.

After discussing their needs and reviewing the site, we recommended the Tarnhow Dome Freestanding Timber Canopy. This canopy was the perfect fit, as it not only provides exceptional protection from the elements, but it also adds visual appeal and charm to the school grounds.

The structure has transformed a previous space into a functional, inviting area for outdoor dining. Its spacious design ensures there’s plenty of room for students to enjoy their lunches, while the natural timber finish creates a warm, welcoming environment.

The result is a beautiful, practical outdoor space that enhances student wellbeing and supports year-round use, which perfectly aligned with the school’s requirements for a durable and versatile canopy solution.
