20 Years of Canopies: How it Started vs How it’s Going

As it’s our 20th year since becoming a limited company, we thought you might fancy a trip down memory lane, to see how it started all those years ago, and how it’s going now.

Since we started installing canopies over 20 years ago, our product range has increased significantly to keep pace with demand. However, when we began all those years ago, we started off with just one product which remains in our range and is still our most popular canopy year after year.

The mighty Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy has undergone design enhancements over the years, making it the stylish, robust, sought-after canopy it is today. These improvements include integrated guttering, a fully aluminium canopy and roof frame and vandal and shatter resistant polycarbonate roof panels that do not discolour over time.

The very first Coniston canopies we installed were small in comparison to the much larger, projects we work on today. Whilst we still install smaller canopies including small door canopies, we cover a broader range, allowing us to take on both small and large projects.

Here’s a selection of the canopies we installed from around 2004 to 2007. If you’re doubting these images are around 20 years old, the car is proof – you don’t see many mk3 Fiestas on the road anymore.

Below I have included a selection of our more recent, larger projects, showing our growth in product range, experience and knowledge. As you can see, aesthetically, the Coniston hasn’t changed much at all; the guttering is the main difference as its now sleek and hidden, leaving it with a simplistic, contemporary appearance.
