In February 2026, we supplied and installed a 16m x 6m Welford Dome Freestanding Canopy at Purley Oaks Primary School in Surrey, Croydon.

During recent building works at Purley Oaks Primary School, the school wanted to introduce a sheltered outdoor area where pupils could learn, play and socialise outside while remaining protected from the weather. Having previously worked with Able Canopies in July 2019, when a Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy and Coniston Freestanding Canopy were installed, the school contacted us again to help deliver their latest outdoor improvement.

After reviewing the available space and the school’s requirements, Able Canopies recommended the installation of a Welford Dome Freestanding Canopy. The canopy now provides a spacious, weather-protected outdoor area that pupils can enjoy throughout the year. With its strong aluminium frame and durable polycarbonate roof, the structure offers a reliable, low-maintenance shelter while complementing the school’s existing outdoor facilities.
