Greenvale School – Second Shade Sails

In August 2026, we supplied and installed four Able Shade Sails at Greenvale School in Lewisham, London.

Having previously installed multiple Able Shade Sails at Greenvale School’s secondary site, we were delighted when the school returned to Able Canopies to add even more shade to its outdoor areas. After experiencing the benefits of its existing installations, Greenvale School wanted to create additional comfortable spaces where pupils could enjoy outdoor learning, play and social activities while being protected from strong sunshine and harmful UV rays.

For this latest project, we supplied and installed one triangular Shade Sail measuring 4m x 3.7m and three Shade Sails measuring 7m x 5.3m. Designed specifically to provide effective sun protection, the new sails create attractive shaded areas that pupils can use for lessons, socialising, relaxation and outdoor activities during warmer weather. Combined with the school’s previous installations, the additional Shade Sails are helping Greenvale School make even greater use of its outdoor environment while providing valuable protection from the sun.

Bishop Young Church of England Academy - Front Fills Installation

Back in July 2025, Able Canopies supplied and installed a 38.55m x 4m Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy at Bishop Young Church of England Academy in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The canopy created a large, sheltered area outside the school, providing pupils and staff with valuable protection from the weather when using the space and entering or leaving the building. Almost a year later, the academy returned to Able Canopies, looking to enhance their existing canopy with additional weather protection.

Smarden Primary School – Canopy Extension
