Our Lady of Pity Catholic Primary School required a shade structure to protect their pupils from the sun in their school playground in Wirral, Merseyside.

They had researched different shade products and felt that shade sails would be ideal for their project because they offer high UV protection and would create a vibrant array of colour in the playground.

They then contacted Concept Interiors, a local contracting firm and asked them to design the shade sail array and source some shade sail suppliers.

Concept Interiors requested a quotation from Able Canopies and 2 other companies. Our shade sails block up to 96% of UV rays and consists of marine grade stainless steel fixings and the highest quality Knitted polyethylene fabric which will not rot or absorb moisture.

Once a full site survey had been completed to ensure everything the school wanted could be achieved, a firm quotation was sent to them in time for their meeting to make a decision.

The school chose Able Canopies’ product over the competitors due to our high-quality fabric and components, they also preferred our design compared to our competitors designs.

The school placed an order for three 6m x 6m x 6m triangle Able Shade Sails in Indigo Blue, Bubble Gum Pink and Jazzberry Purple in July 2012. The Shade Sail posts were installed in August 2012 and the Sails were later installed in early September 2012.

“The design team were very helpful in their advice and the construction team were efficient and completed the work on schedule. Excellent Job, thank you”
