Coupals County Primary School contacted Able Canopies as they were looking for a large amount of outdoor cover at their school in Haverhill, Suffolk. They wanted a number of wall mounted canopies that followed the corners of their building to provide cover for various activities such as outdoor learning, outdoor play and alfresco dining.
The Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy stood out as being the ideal option for the school due to its wall mounted design that can be installed with hips and valleys, allowing it to follow internal and external corners of buildings as required. The school agreed that this canopy fulfilled their needs and we arranged for a site survey to be completed in order for us to supply them with a firm quotation.
During the site visit, our surveyor was able to take measurements for the required canopies and check for any obstacles that may signify that a wall mounted canopy would not be suitable.
It was established that there was no major obstacles that we couldn’t work around and a number of quotations were sent to the school as requested.
The school decided to order four Coniston wall mounted canopies, two of which had hips and went around the external corners of their building to create an all-round weather protection system.
The canopies were all installed within the agreed schedule of 6 working days and the staff at the school were very pleased with the canopies and the service provided by Able Canopies’ staff.
The School’s head teacher sent us the below email after the canopies were installed:
“I would like to take this opportunity to write just before your team leave our school site to say a huge thank you to the company for their professionalism and outstanding hard work.
The pre-site inspection and meeting were very reassuring to me as a manager who has the duty and care of the children and staff as a priority.
We would also like to congratulate the outstanding work of your construction team. They have been working in some terrible weather and have kept to time perfectly. They have been polite, courteous and more than helpful to both staff, parents and children. Safety has been their priority at all times.
We have been able to welcome them into our school for a couple of lunchtimes without hesitation and they have even provided a brief 'learning opportunity' for our pre-school, answering questions about their work and tools.
All round a most satisfying experience which I will pass on to my colleagues/heads in the local community. Please congratulate the lads on our behalf. With best wishes
- Charles Hardingham, Head teacher and Project Co-ordinator
