In September 2026, we supplied and installed four Able Shade Sails at Aylesbury Vale Academy Primary School in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
Having previously worked with Aylesbury Vale Academy Primary School, we were delighted to return to provide additional shade within the school’s outdoor areas. After experiencing the benefits of its existing installations, the academy wanted to create more comfortable spaces where pupils could enjoy outdoor learning, play and social activities during sunny weather. To meet their requirements, Able Canopies supplied and installed one 6m x 6m square Able Shade Sail and three 6m x 6m triangular Able Shade Sails, creating a colourful and practical addition to the playground.
Our Able Shade Sails are designed specifically to provide effective sun protection, with the breathable knitted fabric offering up to 96.5% protection from harmful UV rays, depending on the colour selected. Supported by robust galvanised steel posts, the new shade sails provide pupils and staff with additional shaded areas for lessons, play, socialising and relaxation during warmer weather. Combined with the school’s previous outdoor improvements, the latest installation is helping Aylesbury Vale Academy Primary School make even greater use of its outdoor environment while providing valuable protection from strong sunshine.
