In Devon, a passionate group of educators and organisations formed the Growing Devon Schools Partnership, a collective that champions outdoor education across the region. Their mission is clear: to support schools in delivering engaging, hands-on learning experiences in nature. The partnership has developed a dedicated website full of resources, advice, and funding opportunities to help schools introduce or expand their outdoor learning provision.
But outdoor learning isn’t limited to Devon. Schools across the UK are increasingly embracing the outdoors as a rich, versatile teaching environment, and with the right shelter in place, they can do so all year round.
