Polycarbonate Roof Panels
Covered with solid polycarbonate panels that are 4mm thick and are light in weight. These panels have a high impact resistance, making them ideal for use in well used areas.
Excellent Weather Resistance – The Polycarbonate protects those underneath from harmful UV rays whilst also providing shelter from the rain. The UV coating that is applied during the manufacturing process prevents the panels from discolouring or losing their shine.
High Light Transmittance – The polycarbonate panels offer excellent light transmittance depending on the colour of the polycarbonate chosen. Please see the results in the table below from the test method DIN 5036:
Polycarbonate Colour |
Light Transmission % |
Clear (Supplied as standard) |
87% |
Bronze |
50% |
Grey |
55% |
Green |
73% |
Please note: We do not have the results for opal or embossed polycarbonate.
Fire Resistance - The standard polycarbonate roof panels (clear) adhere to the UK fire rating BS 476 Part 7 Class 1Y and the European fire standard EN 13501-1 B s1 d0. All other polycarbonate colours that are available (excluding Opal) have passed the European fire standard EN 13501-1 B s2 d0.
Aluminium Frame
The Orwell is constructed from a UNI 6060 T5 grade aluminium frame that is natural resistant to rot and rust and is also treated with pure thermosetting polyester powder.+
Integral Guttering
Integral aluminium guttering is supplied as standard. Water is collected in the guttering and then dispersed through drip spouts located at the front sides of the canopy.
Loading Capabilities
