Nelson Entrance Canopy
The Nelson Entrance Canopy has a stylish domed frame that is constructed from aluminium and is covered with curved polycarbonate that is 4mm thick. It has been designed to fit in with many buildings styles, adding a contemporary feel to traditional buildings and fitting in seamlessly with modern buildings.
The Nelson is the perfect entrance structure for many environments including schools, shops, hospitals, healthcare surgeries, care homes and leisure environments. It can be installed above doors, windows to extend your existing building overhang and offer additional protection from the weather.

- Snow Loading Capabilities – The Nelson has been tested and certified by TÜV for snow loads up to 170daN/m².

Specifications
Roof Panels
4mm thick solid polycarbonate panels that have a high impact resistance and are light in weight.
High UV Protection – The polycarbonate roof sheets are treated with a special UV coating that protects those underneath from high levels of UV rays. The special coating also prevents the panels from yellowing or fading over time due to sun damage.
High Light Transmittance – The polycarbonate panels let through excellent levels of light. Please see the results in the table below from the test method according to DIN 5036 for each polycarbonate colour for the Nelson:

Please note: We do not have the results for opal or embossed polycarbonate.
Excellent Fire Resistance
The standard (clear) polycarbonate roof panels meet the UK fire rating BS 476 Part 7 Class 1Y and the European fire rating EN 13501-1 B s1 d0.
Frame Material
The entire canopy frame is made from UNI 6060 T5 grade aluminium that is treated with pure thermosetting polyester powder and is available in a choice of 7 colours as standard.
Integrated Guttering System
An integrated guttering system is hidden within the canopy frame and allows water to flow through the gutter and out through drip spouts at the sides of the structure.
Snow Loading Capabilities
The Nelson is certified by TÜV for snow loads of up to 170daN/m². When tested, there was no recorded signs of any permanent damages or breakage.
